Sam de la Rosa

Sam de la Rosa is a native Texan, had his first comic book credit appear for DC Comics in Action Comics #534. He did finished art over layouts by Keith Pollard for Green Lantern #160 then became the regular finishing artist starting on World’s Finest #285, with layouts by Silver-Age Great, Rich Buckler. Sam caught the attention of Marvel Comics that same year when Bob Layton and Mark Gruenwald asked him to finish a few pages of (Bob’s) layouts on Hercules Prince Of Power Mini Series issue #4 in 1982. That led to years of regular work for Marvel doing inks and finished art on various Spider- Man titles, Venom Lethal Protector, Venom Separation Anxiety, Captain America, Black Panther, Squadron Supreme, Iron Man, What-If, Dr. Strange, Daredevil, The Thing, Spider Woman, Indiana Jones, Star Wars, and many more. On Marvel’s EPIC line Sam was fortunate to ink over pencils by Alan Weiss/Val Mayerik on Steel Grip Starkey, and JIM STARLIN personally selected Sam to ink several hundred of his Dreadstar pages. Returning to DC Comics, he inked All Star Squadron, Captain Atom, 22 issues of Firestorm in the late 1980s, as well as DC’s last two Star Trek Annuals in 1995.

Steven’s most recent focus has been building his fan base and providing art commissions to those supportive fans. Steven is also planning on producing some guest/variant covers for independent publications and self published artist projects in 2016.

Joe Becker

Graphic artist by day and Illustrator by night, Joe Becker keeps himself busy. He and his wife have three boys who are full of energy.
Colorado’s native son works primarily with pencil, ink, markers as well as digitally. Joe’s art crosses multiple genres but his passion lies within the superheroes, science fiction, and steampunk genres. Combining genres and giving his art a “humanistic touch” sets him apart.
Joe is highly educated in the art of graphic design and drawing, taught by many of the finest professors in Colorado. He spent time honing his craft on the Western Slope as well as in downtown Denver. Becker’s work has been viewed worldwide, but he is devoted to building Colorado’s local comic art community. A regular at many of the local conventions, he enjoys interacting with fans and artists alike.
Joe, AKA Oil Can, is an active member of the weekly art collective, “Red Team GO!” and is a founding member of “The Grave Robbers Society,” a philanthropic collegiate art group. In his spare time, Joe enjoys writing self bios in the third person.

Stan Yan

Stan Yan is a Denver-based writer/illustrator, caricature artist and instructor. Growing up in Denver, Yan, a self-taught artist, went to school at the University of Colorado in Boulder where he got his bachelor’s degree in accounting, where Yan’s life took the tragic turn into sales for the securities industry, where he wallowed in ethical poverty on-and-off for thirteen years. Yan takes his frustrations out by penning graphic novels such as The Wang. In 2005, Yan has gave up on financial security and become a full-time freelance cartoonist, illustrating SubCulture for Ape Entertaiment and Action Lab Danger Zone, creating comic strips for the financial and sales industry, drawing zombie caricatures, and picking up odd illustration and teaching jobs when folks are feeling agonizing pity for him. Stan teaches Summer camps, after school programs, workshops, and helped to develop a degree program in graphic storytelling as an adjunct faculty member at the Community College of Aurora. His recent credits include art and colors for Show Devils (Mother Mind Studios), writing and art for Vincent Price Presents (BlueWater Productions / Storm Comics), and writing and art for There’s a Zombie in the Basement (Squid Works Kids). But, he’s probably best known for doing zombie and pony caricatures. Upcoming projects include development of a graphic novel about his best friend’s battle with cancer.

Jason Meents

Jason Meents (pronounced Ments) born in Illinois and now living in Colorado, started drawing since he could pick up a crayon. Professionally and as a freelance artist Jason has taken on many projects over the years. He has done work from graphic designs to sports illustrations for professional athletes. However, with the expected birth of his daughter his work took a turn in focus and now, he has won the world over with his “Tykes take over” art which gives all the characters we have grown up with or just grown to love a whole new look. He has entered his art into contests for Spawn landing second place with his “Tyke Spawn” out of thousands and won the heart over with the publishers of “Red Sonja” making it in the final 4, appearing in Spawn #250 and Red Sonja #14. Jason is currently working on a cast of original superhero tyke characters for upcoming self published comic set to be out 2016.

Not just a hero in cosplay, Whitney volunteers much of her time in the “real world” as a member of Rotary International and the Kids Heroes Foundation.
